Cosy camping as old …

Camping during the low season, nice and calm, you will only hear the birds and the rippling of water. Every now and then you can hear a splash from a fish, otter, raccoon or beaver in the river Semois.
Ducks and swans are fond of the island as well. In the evening you can have a delicious barbecue and enjoy the afterglow of a small fire. Of course it is also possible to enjoy a drink in the bar, which is only closed on Sunday during the low season.

During the school holidays it is comfortably busy with many families with kids. A lively campsite, kids playing in the playground, young and old frolicking near the waterfront and content guests on the terrace and in the bar.
The river is not deep, but it is possible to let yourself float downriver on an air mattress or rubber boat.
There is no animation team, but every now and then there are various activities for young and old, and sometimes the campsite guest will help organise them.

Dogs are always welcome on our campsite, with a maximum of 2 dogs per site and of course they need to be on a leash at all times. They dogs are allowed to play in the river as well. Across the bridge, just outside the campsite, it is beautiful to walk with your dog.

USE OF AIRCO IS NOT ALLOWED due to noise nuisance.

Campsites on the waterfront and in the middle



The islands has a total of 130 sites, of which 68 sites are located on the waterfront. There are also a few sites which are not directly located on the waterfront, but which have a free view over the water. The most beautiful view of forest and hills you will have on almost all sites.
Only on sites 19 till 29 you will have a view on anther neighbouring campsite.

There are also sites that are not located on the water, a more sheltered site, perhaps better suited for families with children who cannot swim yet.

A couple of the sites are surrounded by hedges for more privacy.
All sites are about 100m².

There are sunny sites and shady sites, something for everyone.

All sites have access to electricity and free Wi-Fi. Water taps are distributed all over the terrain of the campsite.

f you would like to stay with us during school holidays we highly recommend you to make a reservation, and as early as possible if you prefer a place near the water. Choose a pitch when booking at "options".





Camping on a 3 star campsite
On campsite Ile de faigneul you can camp with your own tent, (foldable) caravan or camper (max. 9 meters long) on a site near the water or in the middle of the island. The sites are all situated around the sanitary facility (C) with floor heating, have a beautiful surrounding, and have access to a 6 ampere power source and free Wi-Fi.

Discount cards
During the low season we accept multiple discount cards like ACSI and CKE.

On campsite Ile de faigneul you can camp with your own tent, (foldable) caravan or camper (max. 9 meters long). You can choose; a site located on the waterfront with a beautiful view on the forests and hills, or would you rather stay on a more sheltered site in the middle of the campsite? The sites in the middle of the campsite might be better suited for families with young children who cannot swim yet.
All sites have access to electricity (6A) and free Wi-Fi.

Minimum stay 3 nights.
One camping pitch is for one family living at the same address.
